Travelling by train

Depending on where you are coming from there are four railway stations within 30 miles of us. Unfortunately, you will need to get a taxi or bus to the office from all of these.
Here is a rough description of the convenience of each one......

Peterborough

Very fast from London, Leeds, York, Doncaster and other locations. Based on the East Coat Mainline and serviced by Virgin Trains, amongst others.

Taxi:
Time to Bourne = Approx 30 mins. There is a lot of taxi competition in Peterborough so prices are fairly low. Best to book a taxi with someone like Royal Taxis (01733 777000) beforehand if you want to keep cost low. Taxi estimate = £20 each way approx.

Bus:
Buses (Delaine) run approx. every 30 mins throughout the day and take about 40mins and cost around £5.00 for a return.

Stamford

Closer to Bourne but not worth going here if you get the mainline train to Peterborough as the taxi will cost you more (there is less competition) and trains are less frequent.

However, if you travel via Leicester (from the North) it’s worth it.

Taxi:
Time to Bourne = Approx 20 mins. £20 – £25 each way.

Bus:
Buses (Delaine) run regularly throughout the day and take about 30mins and cost less than £5.00 for a return.

Grantham

About same distance from Bourne as Peterborough but is further north so cheaper from the North (in theory) and there is more choice of operators, depending on your origin! Again, this is East coast main line.

Taxi:
Time to Bourne = Approx 30 mins. Price is probably > £30 each way.

Bus:
Apparently, there are some infrequent buses but we do not have the details.

Spalding

Spalding station is as close to Bourne as Stamford but is located on the Peterborough to Lincoln line. Probably worth using if you are coming in from Lincoln only.

Taxi:
Time to Bourne = Approx 20 mins. £20 – £25 each way.

Bus:
No chance!
